This creature could actually be very mobile in some ways. I mean, think of how high it could jump if all 20 legs propelled off the ground at once.

Or, if each body stood up on the hind legs, you'd some extra height that you probably wouldn't have much trouble balancing on given the equal weight distribution.

Running would probably be in the direction of the head and torso of the five. The three in the back would move forward while the two in front move back. With enough practice, you could probably get some serious speed. It would probably take a bit more energy than it would for a normal horse or centaur because of aerodynamic friction.

Self defense looks pretty easy here. You can kick in any direction, or deal with the enemy yourself if they make it between your bodies. It's almost impossible to fall over, so you could probably pick them up and launch them wherever if you're strong enough.
