Slip, slide and SPLAT!
Well, I didn't quite have a good camera angle here, at least enough so to catch me taking a fall. Not more than a few feet out of this frame, I slid and fell on my hands and knees in the gooy clay. It didn't hurt, was a soft landing, but I really hadn't wanted to fall down in this. But luckily for me, I was able to wipe the bulk of the clay off my knees and stay mostly dry. The leggings are fleece lined and water resistant so, it wasn't super bad after I cleaned them up. I just got dirtier than I had intended for a cold yucky day. Only got my tail dirty a little.

Earlier i had proper squishing boots on, and they didn't help much either. The clay turned them into flats in no time. A little bit of clay, then some sand, then more clay made them absolutely traction-less and heavy too. So regardless of shoe style that clay made for an traction ending glue to the soles of any shoe.
Still had fun with it. I see places I want to visit come summer time though

This round I was 'trying' to stay clean more or less. Given its fluctuation in water levels, this place offers varried possibile mud situations, Its a kayak friendly lake, and I've explored it in the past. The facility has improved lately with the addition of better a better boat launch area so it is very inviting for future exploration.
