Fox Prince Reacts to The Garfield Movie Official Trailer
Hello everyone, today I'm going to be reacting to a trailer of an upcoming movie which happens to be everyone's favorite lasagna loving cat himself Garfield. Now I haven't been into Garfield as much as I used to back in the 90's when the show was shown on Nickelodeon during the time, I mean I'm not saying that I hated Garfield or anything at all. I just felt like I just grew out of it, now I haven't seen any of the live action movies with Bill Murray voicing the character despite the original voice actor for Garfield passed away. However, this one is going to be a CGI animated movie under Sony Pictures, not Sony Pictures Animation which is a real surprise to me. But we'll see how well this trailer goes, let's begin it right now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IeFWNtMo1Fs
0:06-0:32 Okay, so far, we're starting the trailer off with Garfield as a kitten lost and alone, then he sees an Italian restaurant which is probably the place here he started liking lasagna and he is crossing the street. This trailer is starting to feel really sad there.
0:32-0:58 Now we're seeing John Arbuckle looking lonely eating pizza by himself, which is getting even more sadder, but then he meets Garfield as a kitten and that's how they met each other. Which is real strange cause in "The Nine Lives of Garfield" John adopted Garfield at a pet store in comparison to when he met him as a stray kitten at an Italian restaurant. However, I'll give it credit that it felt like one of those Hallmark commercials you see around the holiday seasons.
0:58-1:12 Well here we go with the comedy bits, because I was about to say this Garfield movie should have been a Hallmark movie with the whole sad music and no comedy elements in it. But now we final see Garfield go eating like crazy so that he becomes the Garfield we know of today, also the beginning of lasagna being his favorite dish.
1:12-1:18 So remember the whole Bill Murray being a terrible casting choice for Garfield in the live action Garfield movies or when Chris Pratt being a terrible casting choice for Mario? Well, what do you all think of Chris Pratt voicing Garfield for this movie?
1:18-1:27 Well that never happened in any of the Garfield comics, or did it? Cause I've only read some of the Garfield comic strips of Garfield rather it be at a library at school or at a babysitter's place. I just don't remember John giving Garfield a bath in either of those.
1:27-1:43 Okay so what Garfield is telling us since he's trying to pretend that he's for some reason Deadpool, I mean Mr. Wolf did it better in The Bad Guys. Also, when Odie did that face there, that's what I'm all like myself. I mean telling kids to cover their eyes and what he's about to do with the lasagna that he's about to eat won't be pretty, kind of sounds like he's not going to eat it, let alone try to make lasagna babies with it until it's pregnant or something.
1:43-1:50 So Garfield has a father in the movie, he's voiced by Samuel L. Jackson which we know him as Nick Fury.
1:50-2:07 Okay the whole jumping train thing is really funny, but having Garfield crashing into a Macy's Thanksgiving Day balloon version of himself is really confusing there. Like was Garfield already popular even before he was born or something? It's like this Garfield universe took place in like a parallel universe.
2:07-2:16 Well it looks like Garfield and his father had something in common, then in the last part of the trailer John discovered both Garfield and his father are in the fridge eating every food out of it. I'm sure John is going to see that Garfield's father is a stray and is going to throw him out of the house.
2:16-2:43 Okay that one was just the whole trailer all over again only they wanted us to submit dogs or cat videos to be in the movie, I mean those videos should be on YouTube or in AFV for all I know.
Well, that was the Garfield trailer, but I got to say I'm completely lost on the idea of Chris Pratt voicing Garfield. I mean did every studio watched the movie Onward and Thought Barley Lightfoot is a fat character in the movie even though he's just big bones, so they decided to cast Chris Pratt to voice various fat animated characters in a movie their making? What's next, is Warner Brothers going to cast Chris Pratt to be the voice of Fred Flintstones in a CGI animated Flintstones movie while they're at it? But never mind about Chris Pratt voicing fat cartoons, I sure hope they don't mess it up with this one and I'll see you all later.
