This is a nice picture. I found out that apparently Rowan is a name of a tree the ancient celts found sacred. Yes, the cow is the sign of Taurus in the Celtic animal zodiac; but apparently the Rowan tree is the zodiac tree for the sign of Aquarius. Also Aquarius (or 11th house) rules large animals including bovines! Also, in ancient Egypt, Hathor the cow goddess is also the goddess of dance. She is the zodiac sign for Gemini in Egyptian Astrology. Rowan is quite a gal!
A good portion of my characters were invented because I noticed a severe lack of them in the fandom. Since a lot of them were african animals, I have a fair amount (including Lauren). I decided I needed to do what I could to break up the large amount of foxes and huskies and such.
