Yeah. I remember a speech that I heard from what might be a recent FWA art panel saying that you may not learn anything if you put your style souly focused on another's style. Over time, it takes some experimenting and self-development to create something that truly stands out and identifies as your own work. Anime may be all the rage and cool, but you shouldn't put too much work to copy a style.
