So, I routed another area for the other pickup. re-routed an the bridge area. I continued to route the area for the bridge. I put aluminum foil inside of the pickup routes (from what I understand, it's radiation shielding for EM frequencies from the pickups or something). I put in wood filler (which lied about it's ability to absorb stain. That's what those blotches and bright spots are around the guitar). Stained the guitar with an ebony stain (which was supposed to be dark brown, not black. But I love the effect). Then glossed it.
The gloss doesn't seem to be working. I haven't drilled any holes for the pickup wires. I don't have a space to put the other stuff, which will need to be drilled and routed. And I'll have to gloss the back. Hopefully, by tomorrow, this'll all be done.
Not going to lie, I got a little lazy near the end. I learned a lot, which I will be posting sometime soon. Until then, enjoy.
And I'm sorry for the incredibly low quality images. I'm taking these pics with a very low budget phone, equipped with the lowest budget camera.

I like a satin finish anyway. I am not a fan of a high gloss on a natural wood. I would however recommend making a jig next time you use your router. If you have a router table its stupid simple to make. And you get really clean holes for your pickups.
Also, I just use aluminium tape for RF shielding. It made a huge difference in my G & L ASAT. My Tele is too much of a ratter trap to care.
What pickups do you have picked out for your project?

I was just going to take the 3 single coils out of my other guitar, then probably put them back in. Because this guitar doesn't have its own neck, it's more of a body blank than anything. But it was going to be a single coil and a humbucker. There's still so much I don't know about guitar (like how to play it), but I was thinking an EMG 81 and a p90.
But 2 hours ago, I have severely screwed up my guitar, so I gotta go through a bit of a restoration before I even finish.
And I will -definitely- look into making jigs next time, as well as doing away with those "extruded bevel" edges.

I've since thrown this away (as of 2 months ago), but it's made of the cheap white wood you see in Lowe's/Home Depot. The same wood that houses and such are built with. I just happen to use ebony stain on it to give it that black color. A guitar made completely of ebony wood would cost a lot and be heavy as heck.
I would still like to learn how to play a guitar, as well as make some from scratch and sell them (yeah, still can't do either). Gotta get more tools and a lot of resources. If that happens, perhaps one day I can look into making an all-ebony guitar. Or Wenge (pronouced wen-gay), as it's just as hard and dark.

Not as much as quilted maple, but still pretty high priced.
