Hyenas eat every scrap. In fact, hyena scat very easily identifiable because it is white from the digested bone, so white and chalky, that people have used it to write when they couldn't find other stuff :D

Bones have marrow, which is super high in iron, and the bone itself, which is full of calcium. Bones are so worth eating that people in tribes will put they in the fire till they crack, then suck out the marrow. It's such a delicacy that it's often reserved for the very old or powerful. My uncle WILL NOT leave pork bones on the table, he eats THE ENTIRE PORKCHOP.
