I love backgrounds like these, where everything is made with a minimal amount of simple brush strokes, and I'm always super jealous of people who can paint them like this. It just fascinates me how you can get so much detail and realism out of just a few well-placed smudges of color.
These winter scenes continue to be some of my favorite work of yours. Even among your massive assortment of breathtakingly gorgeous backgrounds, there's just something about this particular theme that really stands out... I'm not smart enough to put it into words, but I just get such a powerfully nostalgic, bittersweet, beautiful feeling whenever I look into one of them.
