Being a fiend powered by celestial magic offers some very interesting magical combinations, it seems.
So I've got a new D&D campaign starting up which means a new D&D character. May I present: Kiran Nightclaw, rakshasa and former agent of the Hells now attempting to defect to the Heavens. Kiran was one of several rakshasa created to further Hell's goals on the material plane. Years of living in secret among mortals however, seeing what they could build by working together and helping each other up, coupled with the countless betrayals from his fellow fiends caused him to change his perspective a bit. He came to the conclusion that evil is ultimately self-destructive and that to truly grow he needed to leave the Hells behind.
To that end he sought out any god that might help in his goal and eventually came into contact with Bahamut, dragon god of justice and mercy. The dragon agreed to sever Kiran from the hells and make him an agent of the heavens but at a cost: Kiran would lose nearly all of his abilities and would need to earn them back by "proving himself" as a hero. Kiran agreed so he came a warlock of Bahamut, a rare blend of fiendish and holy magic. Now he travels the material plane trying to do good and hopefully reclaim his old and become a true celestial.
Thanks once again to
Rahir for helping bring one of my D&D ideas to life! With luck we'll be seeing more of Kiran and his quest for redemption in the future!
