I guess this is part of the heartbreaking scene when both Gabu and Mei are inside a cave digged on the snow, and the goat offers himself willingly to the wolf to be eaten to allow him to survive alone as himself thinks too weak to survive alone the snowstorm at the mountain, and thus doesn´t want to be a burden for Gabu to survive himself and get to acheive him the dream of both finding the unknown Emerald Forest behind the mountain. That scene is awesome and so dramatic sad!!
Oh I got it. I guess it could happen though I think Gabu doesn´t regret in all of leaving his pack, whereas Mei actually might have more real reasons to miss some on his, particulary his best friends Mii and Tapu, and his grandma. Kinda think a good sort idea for a continuation in somewhat later time, will be them going back a bit so Mei could see his grandma and friends back to tell them he is very nice, safe and happy alongside his wolf mate, just in enough time before his grandma passes away. Neverthless, though I think Giro didn´t survived the ice downfall, most of his crew did and are now co-lead by his subaltern, Barry and the former mate of Giro - and only female wolf on the pack - and when realizing the culprits of how much the pack had going down will like on revenge, Neverthless, the comical duo of secondary wolves might not be such much a true menance after all and at the end, Gabu and Mei will go back to Emerald Forest not so alone but leading a small but close mixed group of both species after all.
