I had a tortoise named Vlad, he got his name cause he had long front claws that when i handled him for the first time he cut me and drew a tiny amount of blood. I had him for close to 15yrs and he was already a few yrs old when i got him.he would always come runnin when i called his name, he knew it was food time and he absolutely hated "bathtime" (his monthly soaks). He liked to drag his food from the dish to the top of his log and eat it there, donno y, but i loved to watch him do it. He died on September 29th, not sure from what, but i have a sneakin suspicion that it was from all the rain we were gittin. I tried to mitigate it but to no avail. He was a good un, and a valued member of this family, and he will b missed.


I drew this as a memorial for Vlad, cause i didnt know what to do with myself. Either sit and cry or draw and cry. Spoilers: i drew this and cried lol. Never drawn a tort before, was very neat to try.
