Another lithograph, a proper old-fashioned stone process this time! So basically, I drew this picture on a lithograph stone with grease/litho pencils, did some detail scratching with a razor blade, chemically etched the drawing into the stone, and finally printed fifteen of the things.
I'm quite happy with this...and was so afraid of breaking my stone, overdoing the etch, over-inking, and generally messing it up <em>every step of the way</em>, holy jesus

Unfortunately no...all i have is this tiny thumbnail from a few weeks back- http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pa3zyaLZo.....onsketches.jpg And a photo of the stone would look like the final print on a yellow-y background! x] But I'm doing one more print like this in a few weeks, and I'll be sure to snap some photos for you.
This one is absolutely fantastic, I don't know how you do it. Every time I think art is boring and feeling uninspired, you upload something and make my fingers itch with an urge to draw for hours.
The lightening is perfect and I love the composition, the scratchy, textured feeling and the contrast makes me think of old fairytale illustrations, which were also a big inspiration for me when I was a kid.
This reminded me that I never did note you about the tube. I recieved it a couple of weeks ago and seeing the pictures in real life blew me away. Your art is one of the first things I will hang on my wall when I get my own place (dormlife is crowded and intimate and where the heck is my wall space?), no kidding!
PS. If you were ever to sell this, how much would you charge? These latest pictures of your have two things I love, dinosaurs and plants, mashed together so deliciously. I'd also love to trade you one of my originals if you're one to hang art on your walls. IDK, sorry if I seem pushy and creepy.

Wow I was wondering after seeing the other litho in your gallery how you did with the stone. This is really good. Lovely values and I hope you had more then one good registration out of the edition. Registration is a nightmare for me. ^^
Printing is such a messy process but it is fun.
