Two 5X7 inch ink drawings - one of a young goshawk, the other of a gyrfalcon. These are both entirely ink and ink washes, except for a pop of yellow watercolor with the goshawk, and a tiny bit of green watercolor in the background.

Thank you so much! The best suggestion I have is to look at lots of birds from lots of different angles and to learn how the feathers layer. Depending on lighting/angles sometimes birds can look 'wrong', but if you understand the anatomy it's easier to draw them correctly, even if a reference is wonky!
