And while I do agree with the loveliness of your artwork- your owls feet are incorrect. An owl actually has a different toe pattern thenother brids of prey, that is, they have two toes in the front and two in the back. /Sometimes/ a barn owl will hold them funny with three in the front, but especially in this position, they would hold them in the correct position.
pretty wrong. a barn owl just doing that when it catch prey.
to the theoretical: barn owls have 3 front and one backclaw like every else owl. They can turn one claw 'cause of an unusual flexible point into a different agle so they got a 2-2 claw. usually: hunting prey 2-2 standing 3-1. But I've already seen owls standing on 2-2 ect. it just up to them and not fixed rule at all. Since the 3-1 is the normal position of any birds I guess it's logical that, in a relaxed pose like sitting, (what owls actually NEVER do like this) the claw turned like this.
So well. No barn owl in the world will ever choose this pose in any way so nobody knows what's right or wrong.
