Welcome to Terrathall: A relatively small town surrounded by a vast mountain range where dragons of all varieties come to live, exchanging their skills in a pre-industrial revolution fantasy world. While most dragons are starting their days sheltered by brick walls and tile ceilings, Aspen chooses to sit on the cliff-side, under a canopy of trees watching the rain diffuse the glow of the rising sun.

This piece spent a long time in the idea factory. The world of Terrathall has been a big clay ball of ideas that's been mashed and molded for awhile, so for a rough idea to become a fully rendered scene in just 7 months is more than I could have ever asked for. There's so many small details from my jumble of 'what if's that just ooze love and care, from the subtle hints of colour on the buildings inspired by italian villages, to the imperfect rock spines along Aspen's back, I could not be happier.
