And here we have the final entry of the OCs (Finally!) and this one happens to be the first one I have ever gotten when
ebonyleopard first started doing themed one-character commissions with OCs for the comics. This is Jerid, my Warwolf character for the Garden of Eden arc of the Extinctioners series. For those of you wondering about his feral wolf form and are not familiar with the lore, the Warwolves are magical natives of the Garden, sort of 'reverse werewolves' that can transform from bipedal to quadruped wolves at will. Their tribes function like actual wolf packs with Alphas being the leaders, Betas being the second in command, etc.
Jerid is the beta of his pack, having served under his alpha for many years which, as his scars clearly show, he's a fully hardened veteran of combat. Outside of his amazing strength, he has also fashioned a large battle axe Built like a brute, he is very disciplined and always has an air of seriousness about him. He definitely has to be in order to preserve supervision and order throughout the pack. The only person who really has a chance to see through his cold exterior is the alpha's daughter who Jerid also acts as a bodyguard and escort whenever she leaves the pack to visit the towns in order to shop and trade. Over the years the two have spent a lot of time together, usually due to circumstance, but it has vastly grown into friendship - perhaps one would speculate something more. Jerid has been loner much of his life and as worked his way up in the ranks to where he is now, and the title hasn't really permitted him to ease back much since the pack is in constant territorial disputes with displacers and other packs in the wilderness of the Garden. In many ways, she is the one thing that keeps him grounded and not being fully closed off to caring for another.
I still really enjoy how this guy came out, and it's actually good to have a much older battle-hardened character as the large, tough, warrior types are pretty interesting and fun to write about.
