A lazy monitor lizard lays outstretched like a bulging carpet on the forest floor, her swollen flanks and pillowed limbs splaying out in their respective directions, blanketing the mulch around her. She seems to have just eaten, finding this serine basking alter in the bamboo forest to bask and digest her last enormous meal. She had fallen asleep under her immenseness until you trudged through the brush, when her head rose sluggishly and halted in place to view you over her hillside of a dorsum. Luckily for you, she's not in the mood to chase, and even if she was, her lumbering girth would never be able to keep pace, let alone hoist itself up from the ground where she lays. Instead, she just glares at you, as if you've interrupted her.
