This is a creature design commission I got from Mattartist25 a few years ago over on Deviantart. They were inspired by a mixture of the flood and the lekgolo from the Halo universe. Individuals are no bigger than a grain of sand, often leaving them mistaken as such when dormant. When angered they are known to puppet the bodies of their prey often using their bones or in this case armor to move about. They are located on the island Mezckaz Nazoob, an island devoid of life due to their presence, the ocean water keeping them from spreading to the rest of Latirana

This individual colony has been given the name Ferrosh.
