Now this one is really exciting for me because this happens to be my very first fully inked scene from  ebonyleopard ever! ^^ After recieving my first ever finished painting from Terrie Smith way back in 2012 (will post that and the others she has done for me later), I really wanted to get a traditionally drawn piece from one of my favorite artists and of my two all-time favorite characters of his from one of my favorite comics, Red and Umnus! ^^ It felt so amazing when I first got this completed as I really love how the splendid black-and-white comic book ink work came out as well as how absolutely awesome this scene looks. :D

To make this picture extra special I decided to set this in issues #3 and #4 during the climactic breakout of our heroes from Mahn's secret base. You could say this is an 'unseen' sequence from the page as this doesn't exactly represent any specific panel from the actual comic. Rather, I wanted something that captures these two in action while sharing a picture together. With the burning restraining tables in the background, the robotic tentacles from off-screen as Red torches the mechanical source to defend himself, and Umnus, posed to pounce and ready to teleport on an unseen target, I think it makes for a very fine picture. :3 In fact, it was so good, that I requested the original finished work by mail, which Ebonyleopard was very gracious to oblige, and I had it professional framed and preserved. Which it still hangs on my wall, and one of my prized possessions. ^^
