Finding yourself in a world of digital monsters is rarely an easy experience, though it helps to be prepared by being sort-of-familiar with the franchise in question. Though you may not end up in the traditional situation with someone dedicating themselves to you as your new best friend and "battle" partner, you may be lucky to meet some friendly people along the way, whether you fully enjoy their company or not. But it's still a world based around fighting to get better, so danger's likely to spring up sooner or later that you have to be prepared for. And if you're not, well maybe you'll be lucky enough to end up in a TF story so you can shortcut your way out of it. But leave your expectations at the door, you're not guarantied a WereGarurumon, bucko.
So yeah, local jahn ends up in Digital World, meets a lead singer and a mind-reading magician, runs into a nutty Energizer gremlin and then becomes one of the least popular Digimon in popular memory. Reads better than it sounds, i think.

One of my online mutuals is someone who I met through the wonderful world of transformation, but over time he's had enough of the shenanigans of our deviant community and has left it behind for greener, saner pastures. But he still nurses an intrigue for what transformation can bring to the Digimon franchise, albeit with an emphasis on a comprehension of the series that's done its homework with effort and care and not just putting a Digi into a situation any anthro fox, draconic knight or blonde human in angelic cosplay could be in (and also "more sane" than general kinky antics, an off-the-rails comedy dub or the Digimon equivalent of throwing normal Pokeballs at a Poke-TF victim.) And thanks to said mutual's gradual indoctrination of me into the Digimon fandom over the last few years, I'm at the point where I can basically write that kind of story (drawing is another matter, but you all know that by now).
I have a list of various Digimon I'm saving for TF moods, and in spite of or possibly because I'm stupid, Shakkoumon has been rather high up there. So with it trying into an ongoing anime binge and his prompt earlier in the month for me to try and write this to repay a favor, I latched onto this 'mon with gusto and my writing muse somehow fired off like it hasn't in years, and just in before Christmas I managed this 13,000-word whopper of a tale full of lampshade-hanging, semi-diverse Digi characters and more than a few tips of the hats towards stuff I like. My friend has approved, and so now this is going up online to hopefully enrich and entertain the Digimon TF fans.
Happy holidays from December 2023, and we'll see if I somehow manage something like this again anytime soon. Surprisingly active year here.

I never imagined anyone would ever do a shakkoumon TF, much less a shakkoumon TF with such depth, length, and understanding of the source material as this. My goodness. You're gonna make me end up liking shakkoumon. Bravo. Truly an outstanding piece of work here. I have no idea how you managed to pull this whole thing off it's mind blowingly impressive. I would say I'm speechless but I'm clearly not, just in absolute awe and a bit of a stupor.
