I didn't make my icon, it was by 
Vekke But I watched her make it in the stream. She just took a canvas of 50x50 and enlarged it like x1000 and then she started drawing! To me it looked insanely difficult cuz well, the sketch turned out to be a big blob XD If you've got more questions, ask her, she's the expert! :D
