Tiya just wants to make sure she gets it right.
A decorated abode, festive attire, a gift for her darling dearest, and most important of all: Holiday spirit. The only issue is that Esu’s a pain to get gifts for, being the type to never ask for more than a hearty dinner. In the past, Tiya’s gotten her puzzle cubes, cool rocks to fuel her earthen fascination, and made her fancy clothing, but the shaman insists all she’s “asking for” this Winter Veil is Tiya. Cute as that is, the mage wants something to wrap for all of her friends, and her girlfriend - the most important type of friend - is being a pain!
Thankfully, a venture to her family out in Halfhill for advice resulted in an obvious idea: Tea. The blend she settled on had an initially sweet lychee flavor, which faded into jasmine, orchid, and honey. Each sip ended on earthy notes, which is what convinced Tiya to buy a hefty amount as a gift. That, and the fact that Jasmine is her lady’s middle name. Before she knew it, there she was, dressed up in a silly outfit in front of the fireplace. The fire had since died, and the two went to retire to bed, but Tiya kept the tree’s magelights up for just a bit longer and pulled out a box. Extending it in one hand and scratching her arm with the other, she looked at the floor and cleared her throat. “Ahem,” she said, verbally for some reason, “Happy… Winter Veil… ?”
Yeah, I’d say she’s getting it right. Those traditional dwarves in Ironforge can rant and rave about how the true Feast of Winter Veil isn’t about that ho-ho-hokey gift-giving nonsense, but sometimes it’s nice to get something special from someone you love. It doesn’t have to be expensive or ornate - just something that came from the heart. In this case, a little taste of Tiya’s homeland that reminded her fondly of her sweetheart.
Between tea and a blanket, it's time to share warmth on a cold winter night.

This one doesn't have a story! I know, right? It was sort of a last-minute idea, and while I coulda given it one, I just finished the other one, so... no...
