I have to say though, lately your art seems a little bit stretched vertically. You aren't running 1280 x 1024 (instead of 1280*960) on a CRT monitor or something? (your screen pixels aren't square in that situation.) I could be wrong, but have a feeling it is more than your short muzzle style, cause when I run 1280*1024 myself it looks ok.

I actually have a similar problem when i connect a monitor to my laptop. Searching for "1440x900 resolution disappeared after windows update" on google gave me quite a few leads, (including for Intel graphics, which I have) but it is dependent of the video card brand, AND the solutions seem a bit complex.
