Two stories in one festive day? Oh boy how do I explain that I scrounged up all my energy to write these in one day without calling myself lazy? I can't haha! Well not that it's too big, just some small stuff to work my series into its newer arc I want to get into.
Tis one is a poem created by a fox, stuck in a silent inn. Every day feels the same. He can't be bothered to stand up, for eithout his friend he is incomplete.
Dear Moonlight,
Sleeping, sleeping, resting, forever
When will you wake?
It's been so boring, boring without you.
I want to see your ruby eyes.
There are so many things I want to show you.
When you wake
I wonder
Which face will you make?
That of love?
That of hate?
Will you cry
Or debate?
The world's become so saturated
Instead of the grey skies
once casted down upon us
Now a glow
Much like yours
Fuko
Do you still go by that name?
Do you dream of those horrid times?
Or of her?
There's nothing more I want to bring back
Than the half that which you lack
Tossing and turning in my fluff
I wonder
Will any amount of sleep
Ever be enough?
It makes me wonder
It tears my mind asunder
The face you make
The path you take
When oh when
Will you wake?
—
Dear Moonlight,
I met someone today!
A visitor! How fun!
I wish you could see him
He had an arm made of tin!
The surprise almost knocked me off my feet
It's been so many years since I talked to someone
So I told him to take a seat
His happiness
His woes
Times he fought foes
Always on his toes
…in the end
I made a new friend
I hope you don't mind
I lent him a bed
Rest he will find
In the world made
Entirely for the dead
It makes me think of then…
When oh when
Will you wake
I want to hear your heart beat
Once more again
—
Moonlight,
I've been so lonely without you
Still you refuse to wake
After all these decades
I swept the floors
Read all the books
Memorized every single recipe
You could hear the drop of a pen
Yet still
Why don't you wake?
Are you even alive?
I want to believe you are
The way you twirl
how you fold yourself in my fluff
I want to believe that's you
Please
Let me see your eyes
Let me hear another person speak
Let me cook you something
Please
—
Hello Moonlight!
I finally did it!
Your eyes open!
How I missed that
However, you haven't woken
I wonder why
Is something inside you
Broken?
I want to stand and play with you
I want to hear your funny voice
I always think of your choice
Will you let me help
Cook you a meal
Possibly eat together
Sing with one another
Are you still my friend?
Am I allowed to be one
After everything terrible that I have done
Please wake…
—
I…
Had a dream the other day
One where you wake…
Am I…
Scared to see you again?
I was talking to myself as always
Then heard you speak
It was the same word you said then
The same one that terrified me so
The hair on my back stood
Your scarlet gaze stabbed me
Paralyzed as you stare
Skinning me there
With my pelt on your tongue
I sprinted for the door
But by then
I was no more.
It…
Reminded me of the time
When, you weren't so kind
The first…
And last…
Moment you spoke.
I don't know what to do
I don't want to move
What if you wake
What if I hurt you
What if I find out
You were dead all along
I don't know
I don't know
The time is approaching
It scares me
Will you wake
Or lay lifeless
It makes me wonder
Will you stay in eternal slumber
Stay in the time you loved her
Or tear my heart
And put me six feet under?

I loved it! The emotions and mind of the fox is very nicely expressed and relatable. And perspective of the poem is very interesting. I always love it so much when various stories and poems are written from a certain perspective rather than an external, cold narrator. But it's just my preference.
This poem is warm and emotional. Soulful maybe I'd say. Really nice! And he is relatable.
Good luck with further writing. ^^ I'll have to read very soon the other story you posted.

Haha, not sure how relatable I meant for him to be. It's sort of like a journal of the fox's time stuck in... well time. Won't make the most sense for now but it helps progress into the next set for the series. Focused around: Fuko
Thank you for the support though!
