Fizzy the Elf
Christmas/Birthday gift for

Fl-Fl-Flap!
This was the third flier that had hit James in the face. The first one was ignored, the second was crumpled and thrown, but this third one? It filled him with frustration, so much that he needed to know what it was.
Come join the Fun!
What? It was an ad for a job, making toys in some warehouse. How stu-
£750k yearly!
That salary was insane. For making toys? James's frustration faded very quickly. He glanced around, making sure no one had noticed the flier. With a whistle, he stuffed the flier in his pocket, and started making his way to the address on the page.
The address led him to a warehouse, which sort of made sense. It did admittedly make James mildly nervous. What if this was a set-up? He found himself tensing up as he reached for the door handle. Nothing ventured, James said to himself as he pulled the door open, and stepped inside.
The warehouse was empty, save for a large, wrapped present in the middle of the room, with a solitary light over it. He slowly made his way over to the present, confused. As he stepped up to it, the lid popped off, a frosty breeze rushed out. James found himself swept off his feet by the strength of the wind. As well as the cold, James smelled something pequiler, gingerbread and mint on the wild winds around him. He faintly heard the sound of jingling bells as he was lifted up into the air, and pulled into the present.
When the white light cleared from his vision, James found himself standing in what looked like a locker room, although with a lot more green and red. And tinsel. And candy cane patterns. The more James looked around the room, the more he began to think that it was, in fact, not a set up as he had assumed, and actually a real job.
Looking to his right, James saw an open locker with an elf suit inside. He was no stranger to work outfits, and quickly put it on. There were a couple of problems, namely that there was more room in the chest than he needed. Additionally, it was all rather short, and tighter in areas it shouldn't be. Ever since he had put it on, his skin was tingling.
It started with a pop! A bright red sphere appeared over his nose. James grabbed it, causing it to honk! He jumped, startled by the noise her new nose made. A warmth spread out from his nose, which caused a giggle to bubble up through her chest. In the very center of his vision, following the warmthing she felt, white fur had begun to sprout.
Remarkably, it was hard to panic about these sudden changes when one couldn't keep herself from giggling. A warmth heralded oncoming changes, lighting up each area of her before it was altered. She felt her face shifting, changing as if by invisible hands, gaining the small snout of a cat. On top of her head, just in front of the hat she was wearing, a pair of cat ears sprouted, then covered in the same white fur as the rest of her body.
Her scalp tingled, the very roots of her hair were being altered, chaining her hair to a beautiful wavy purple. From the base of her spine, she felt a pulling sensation, like her body was clay, as a thin tail poked out a conveniently placed hole in her pants. The tail swished around, quickly becoming coated in purple fur.
It wasn't until she had lost a quarter of her height that she realized she was shrinking down to fit her new outfit, her body being molded to make it a perfect fit. She felt her chest growing, a new weight she was not initially prepared for. Her new breasts filled out the top of her elf suit. They ached lightly, new nerves bringing more stimuli. On the tips of her toes and fingers, she felt a thickening of skin, as the fur that was spreading across her body reached her extremities, turning her feet into paws.
She scrambled over to a nearby mirror, staring into her own eyes in disbelief. Her entire body had been changed, even the hue of her eyes was different. Abject fear suddenly dissolved into laughter as she honked her nose. She left the changing room still giggling.
"Hey there, new elf!"
She turned, facing the elf that called out to her. "Hi!"
"My name is Twinkleawinkle! What's yours?"
A response bubbled up their chest, she spoke without thinking about it. "I'm Fizzy!"
"That's such a cute name! C'mon Fizzy, lemmie show you how things work around here!"
Twinkle led Fizzy on a tour of the toy factory. It was filled with all manner of nonsensical machines, as well as long tables of elves assembling toys. Their tour stopped by a particularly warm machine inlaid in the wall, producing mugs of hot cocoa with whipped cream. Fizzy and Twinkle were both handed their own mugs by white gloved mechanical arms operating the machine.
"This baby's the Hot-Cocoa-Matic 3000, it makes the best hot cocoa you've ever tasted. Try it!"
Fizzy took a deep sip, letting the sweet drink warm her newly shaped body. To say it was the greatest cup of cocoa ever would be drastically understating how it tasted. It was perfectly sweet, and not hot enough to burn your tongue, but hot enough to warm her whole body.
"Wow, that's really good," Fizzy said between sips, "like, I've never tasted cocoa so rich!" "I knew you'd like it!"
"I do, and we can have this whenever we want?" "Yep!"
Fizzy took another deep sip, smiling ear to ear.
"So, Fizzy," Twinkle inquired, "how'd you end up here?" "Christmas Magic," Fizzy giggled.
"Don't remember huh?" "Not a clue."
"That's okay, Fizzy, you don't need to!"
Twinkle handed her empty mug to the Hot-Cocoa-Matic, and Fizzy followed suit. The pair of elves then continued their tour of the factory. There were stations of wrapping presents, stuffing stockings, and even making Christmas crackers! Their tour ended in front of a door labeled "Santa".
"I-Is," Fizzy lowered her voice, "Is He here?"
"Nooo… ," apparently doubting herself, Twinkle quickly peeked behind the door, "No he's not." "Oh snickerdoodles, I was really hoping he was."
"He'll be in soon enough, it's almost Christmas! But that's the tour done, where do you wanna get started on?"
"I'd love to help make toys! Let me start there!" "Sounds great! Follow me, we'll get you set up!"
Twinkle led Fizzy back to the factory floor, where there was an opening at one of the large tables. Fizzy happily sat down, a set of tools were set before her, neatly stored in a toolbelt with her name on it. With glee, Fizzy put the belt on, and pulled out her hammer.
The new elf began to work with the speed and precision of a seasoned veteran. She whistled along with the carols that rang over the table. Fizzy had never felt such joy and purpose before now, happy as can be.
Another elf tapped her on the shoulder. Without missing a single swing of her hammer, Fizzy looked back, and was handed a candy cane. Smiling, she put the candy in the corner of her mouth, and turned back to work.
"Hey Fizzy," called an elf from across the table. "Hey what," Fizzy called back.
"How you likin' it here?"
"It's so wonderful! Like a Christmas Miracle!" "Well I'm glad to hear that!"
Everyone was pleased as punch that Fizzy fit right in, all the woes and worries she may or may not have had in a life that could have perhaps existed faded to dust. Fizzy wanted nothing more than to stay here forever, making toys and singing carols. Suddenly, a loud whistle blew, and all of the other elves put down what they were working on.
"Break time!" shouted an elf at the head of the table.
"I'm heading to the gingerbread lounge," said the elf sitting to her left, "you comin' Fizzy?" "Of course!"
Fizzy jogged alongside the other elf, humming to herself. She had seen the lounge on her tour, it was one of four in the factory, the others being the lollipop, gumdrop, and candy cane lounges. Each was named after the main snack served. She and her new friend were the first to arrive in the lounge, and just in time for the cookies to have cooled enough to eat. Fizzy took a gingerbread man and sat down on a comfy couch that looked like it was made of gingerbread.
On a nearby TV, live footage of the reindeer games was being played. Comet and Dasher were having a race, and it was neck and neck. The race was a highly anticipated one, as they had both been talking a big game all season. They had a very intense rivalry. Dasher was pulling ahead in the final stretch, but as they drew closer and closer to the finish line, Comet just barely passed Dasher, securing him the victory.
The lounge exploded in a mix of applause and booing, such a controversial win. Fizzy was just happy to be surrounded by such delightful company. She had another cookie, taking in the conversation around her, picking up snippets here and there.
"-and he had fifty bucks on Dasher!" "Oh he's gonna be so mad!"
"-knew my boy Comet wouldn't let me down! "Stop bragging, you weren't running!"
"-you hear what I heard? Someone said Santa's back!"
Fizzy's ears perked up, excitement bubbled up her chest. Would she finally get a chance to meet Santa? She hopped off the couch, quickly scarfing down her cookie. With a click of her heels, she ran out of the lounge, back to the big man's office. The door was open. Fizzy could hardly contain herself. She poked her head in, and saw him sitting at a desk.
"S-Santa?"
He looked up to Fizzy, and smiled.
"Oh ho ho! You must be of our new elves. I trust you are finding everything well, Fizzy?" "I am!" Fizzy's tail swished back and forth, expressing her emotion for her.
"I'm glad. Run along now, I'll be addressing you and your fellow elves in just a moment."
Fizzy nodded, skipping away. He knew her by name! Santa knew her! A blissful tidal wave of joy crashed through her. A more pure, more raw emotion than any ever before. She was practically quaking in her shiny shoes. Another whistle echoed through the facility, calling her back to her station.
Work on toys picked back up as soon as all the elves were back at their post, assembling more for the good kids of the world. Another carol picked up over the table, every voice joined in to sing along. It wasn't long before the toy parts stopped coming in. Fizzy looked confused to the elf next to her, who was leaning back. She followed his gaze up, and gasped. Above them, walking onto a catwalk, strode Santa Claus.
"Ho ho ho! Hello everyone, and Merry Christmas! Our work is finally over, and I will be departing to deliver the toys soon!"
The elves all cheered, some threw their hats in joy.
"I will see you all again soon, when we reopen in February! Enjoy your time at home!"
With that, a chilly wind whipped through the factory, filling everyone's vision with polar snow. The scent of gingerbread and mint clung to the air, the smells of Christmas Magic. Fizzy felt herself lifted off her feet, caught in the Christmas Spell. She giggled, relaxing as her vision whited out. Strangely, she also felt herself falling unconscious, into a deep, happy sleep.

Slowly, they opened their eyes. Confusion was the first thing to rise through the fog of their mind. A bizarre urge called them to stumble out of bed, groggy. They shuffled into their bathroom, turning on the light. They jumped when they saw their reflection.
Where they were expecting the same human they had seen every day, they instead saw a white-furred cat with purple hair and a purple tail, not to mention their anatomy was… drastically
different. To their left, on a hanger in their wardrobe, was something that began to stir memories. An elf suit, with a note attached. She walked over, taking the note.
See you up North in February, Fizzy Hope you like your gift
-S.
The memories all came rushing back at once. Tears of pure euphoria ran down her cheeks as she fell to her knees. To have been given the gift of a body she loved, it was everything she had ever dreamed of.
There was however, one small problem. None of her old clothes fit.
The only thing that fit right now was the elf suit.
She was surprised that it didn't bother her! She would have to get more casual wear, but she could wear her elf suit out to go get said clothes. Fizzy happily put the suit back on, happily whistling to herself. She did notice there was something crinkling in her pocket. Fizzy pulled it from her pocket, and gasped for the second time today.
It was a check for £750k. That would cover the clothes, just slightly. She set out to go buy herself some new clothes. And a hot cocoa, she had a wild craving for a cup. Out onto the street, down the road, humming all the while. She stopped in a local coffee shop to get her fix. There was no line, only her and the one barista. Fizzy approached the counter with a big smile.
"One hot cocoa please," she said to the barista, "under the name-" "No need to give your name," the barista said with a wink, "I got you."
Fizzy tilted her head at that, but stepped off to the side and waited patiently. Now that she thought about it, that barista did look familiar, but she couldn't quite place it. Maybe it was someone she'd seen in passing? No, that wasn't right. Old coworker? No, it was a recent memory. Was that Tw-
"Hot cocoa for Fizzy," the barista called out.
Their words were like the sweetest song ever devised. To hear her name. Her own name. She took the hot cocoa, feeling like she was on cloud nine.
"Thanks Twinkle," she said without thinking, then covered her mouth. "Anytime, Fizzy," Twinkle grinned, "go get some rest."
Fizzy nodded, still a little embarrassed, and skipped out. A wonderful new life awaited her.
