I like the setting and mood of the piece. The little card on the box is both funny but also a bit wholesome given the maid is certainly working hard to ensure the home is tidy and clean quite often.

The little shark maid had a gift from Santa,
For all her hard work up till Christmas Eve.

I hope stern deer patriarch gives her the gift with a combination of frustration at her timidity and strained gratitude for her hard work.

It's Christmas and I can believe whatever I want: I choose to believe it's a will, with the entire manor and its contents in her name. Merry Social Justice, everybody! Or maybe I've just seen too many Benoit Blanc mysteries...
