I wish I could do something longer, but coughing all the time doesn't help with that.
But the idea of "hybridizing" yourself (or just making yourself more unique) just for the sake of it was mentioned. I had some things included here and you can draw some similarities to our world. But only those more interested in looking into the details would draw their own conclusions.
