Here’s a reference sheet for one of the Swechian Empire’s most infamous fighting forces. Totally not based on any historical army group from France XD. This took a while to create as it proved to be a challenge in designing and creating a bit of lore for these fellows but in the end, I think they came out alright. There are more variants of the Imperial guard like voltigeurs and cuirassiers but I’ve decided to settle for showcasing the basic main units for now.


Other notes about them:

-Destroying the heart also dispels all pysgic enchantments placed on the puppet body, returning it to a normal state. It is speculated that the souls would eventually fade away after a few years from the mental and pysgic strain of piloting a puppet.


-While the idea of using souls to power automatons isn’t a new concept, the industrial scale on which the Swechian Empire is doing here hasn't been done before due to the complexity of ripping out souls and binding them to objects. This has put a strain on the Swechian pysgic community however due to schisms on the issue of morality and the need to hire new pysgic users to aid in producing new units.


-Each heart still retains their original personalities and free will which could prove to be an issue with defections or desertions. As such, only the souls of hardline loyalists are used.
