So yay, see? I'm catching up on arts! Already inked, this will be colored in nicely later, I just wanted to show this sketch now. And keep a B&W version for posterity. It's me, underwater, contemplating my depth and starting to pull with my arms to go up for a breath. You went a little deeper and got a pretty point of view. Want air? Hang on to my ankle for a free ride, I won't kick... very fast. :)
Yay I tried doing a whole lot of new things, and darnit I had to redraw those hands, head, and toes like 8 times EACH--sorry for quality too as paper is stained, and degraded. This sketch was started in another form perhaps years ago, left abandoned, till I discovered it and tried redoing it, failed, and abandoned it again till very early this year. And slowly I've been re-doing and remaking the figure into a new pose and form. :D I can't wait to color this thing in, it's going to be SO fun to color this thing in with markers.
Hm, maybe I'm floating in space? Or leaping? I dunno, but I do often take this pose at the bottom of the pool <3 Handposing is HAARRRRRRRD. I fail at making unique poses! XD

Yaaay, see I promised you toes! :) Everything looks sorta warped in my mind about the pic, hope that goes away with markers and things. And for this, really, I'm so used to erasing and erasing that it doesn't bother me too much anymore. What really bothered me was that this was sitting undone, abandoned for so long, it's like page 15 in my sketchbook, and I'm on page 72 or something... this was started yeeears ago when I didn't have the skill to make a pose like this. And I hate having unfinished stuff in my sketchbook, so this now is a relief.... squee. :>
I'll bet. :) And I think when you're the one drawing a picture and have been working on it for so long, your perception gets kinda distorted and it's hard for stuff to look right once you're so used to it looking wrong. For what it's worth, the perspective looks spot on to me and makes me wish I could get it to turn out this good when I tried!
