its hard cosplaying when nobody recognizes your character ;-;)

With this prop design I made in the past 2 hours (it took a loooong time to get everything measured, and calculated considering the people who drew the coffin didn't really stick to a set design in the anime, which drove me up the freakin wall!!! as well as the fact that I had to sift through a bunch of episodes to get the details I needed for it, and even then, I think im missing details ont he back portion of it). The whole prop im going to be constructing out of plywood, as to Dray's suggestions to have it seem more realistic, and not have it mae out of cardboard, and its scaled to size to be as close as possible to the real thing from the anime. The only thing that it won't be doing is carrying around a cello, having a secret compartment for a sword, nor be lined with blue velvet, satin, or some other fancy fabric. But im aiming to have the outside as realistic as possible.
thankfully with my job working at Sheridan (starting this Monday! Might even be able to become a forklift driver! :D) I'll have the money to buy the wood, and other materials to make it. The only HARD part will to be finding the oufit with the same collar as Haji's, same with the front swallow tails, and the belts. But if I have the time for it, I COULD attempt at making the coat as well x33
dimentions
48 inches length
16 inches width (at smallest), 20 inches (at largest)
10 inch depth
updated version to be submitted, and hopefully a finished product to be submitted when its finished and I'll be heading off to Anime North :D
PS: I checked up on the rules, and yes, I am allowed to make the thing out of plywood, as all props are not to be of replica fire arms (fake guns are allowed, but no actual replicas), all blades can LOOK metal, but really be rubber/plastic, and every prop must go through the weapons master. The anime has it as a weapon/shield, so obviously it has to be checked out, but from what they said, it is neither a fire arm, nor blade, so having it be life size, and made out of wood is perfectly fine, as opposed to small and made out of cardboard.

it's no problem i have already the wood and really all you have to pay is getting it shipped out to you and it is no big deal i made saya's sword and I've been wanting to try to make the cello case he has so there is no need to feel burdened plus i would not be making it know sent's i can't use my Papa's tools until he get's back from Hawaii in a week or two
ahh k
well, if its not too much trouble. that'd be really cool ^^ the onyl thing is though, right now I got laid off about almost a week ago, so I don't have any money income right now. so im not sure when I'd be able to pay to get it shipped here, but im expecting to get a job soon ^^
