Opabinia was the prompt for this 2021 mermay piece. The human head works like a lure, she bobs on the surface and calls for help, when someone comes to rescue her they get chomped. Opaninia are hilarious looking, so it was a bit of a challenge to make it into something scary for this picture but I think it worked out.
