Hmm I don't know why, but after seeing this piece, plus what is in the description, it made me think about this (even if what it is seen in this scene is more frightening and edgy):

It is a lovely picture, and one that makes Luna genuinely scary. Great picture, but only in pure fantasy do I find this lovely.
Oh yes, I would be genuinely scared of her. Not someone who I would like as a dominate, if I was a submissive which I am not. The Hot Branding iron, would be too much for me.
For me Marking a Submissive if I was an active Participant IRL these days holds an extreme level of importance, a sign of love from the dominate, and a mark of pride for the submissive worthy of obtaining it. As someone who enjoys many aspects of BDSM fantasy, I do understand the fetish a sub could have for their dom forcing such a mark on them and I have RPed such before. But Marking a Sub be it a tattoo, or actual brand (which I would abhor due to how damaging and painful, not to mention how long it would take to heal) needs to be a totally consensual thing with no non con play to it IMHO.
The Master has to prove themselves worthy to the sub to bestow their mark. But the Sub needs to demonstrate it is what they Truely desire.
