Did you know Amatsu has a brother? Few do, and at first glance it would seem there is little familial resemblance between the two Eastern serpents, and yet they were born of the same clutch, two sides of the same coin, and Ajinn Mikaboshi acquired the darker sides of want and desire his brother was lucky enough to avoid, and as such, is far less trustworthy a host than his younger brother.

Wheras Amatsu has found his purpose in ramen, and travelling the world to learn of new cooking techniques, Ajinn is a collector. A hoarder. He learned quickly the true corrupting, blinding rawness of power to mortals, and made that the currency in which he trades. Over the centuries he has amassed a truly incredible collection of exotic, religious, and pagan artifacts and loans them out to humans in exchange for whatever they might have he desires. Sometimes it's the crown of a desperate king, or the hidden techniques of a warrior facing certain doom, or the long lost relics of a corrupt priesthood scared to face judgement from more divine beings. But, of course, there is always a catch.

The cost varies, but the result is always the same. Power corrupts, and Ajinn is always there to collect the bill once that corruption is complete. For as Amatsu feeds off the positive energy of those around him, Ajinn thrives off the negative. He devours the demonic energies that infect all mortals, literally feeding off sin. For the average mortal, this would be a positive experience, a cleansing of the soul as the serpent devours the evil in them and gives them a second chance at life. However, the most delicious meals for him are the truly irredeemable, those whose souls his can devour entirely. This is the purpose of his hoard, to attract the already dark or twisted, and put them on a truly evil path that will end with him being well, well fed.

However, despite his best efforts, Ajinn is not an evil yokai. While he lavishes in punishing the wicked and being the source of their comeuppence, he plays his game fair, and on the rare occassion someone takes his gift and turns their life around, he will always honor his side of the trade, and leave them be, even letting them keep the treasure they came to him for. Sly, cunning, confident, and wickedly playful, Ajinn has a distinct fondness for 'playing with his food', and thoroughly enjoys company, even those not there to purchase from him. Whether he comes across as predatory and tormenting or dominant and flirtatious comes down to the individual, but its not uncommon for Amatsu to have to come over and set him straight when he get's a bit... overzealous.~

Just remember to tread carefully around this one. Sure, if he gets the better of you it's because you deserve it, but he has a way with words, and can spin any deal to look golden and flattering. After all, Ajinn doesn't just need mortals for soul-food...~
