An Oath to Protect Those from Both Good and Evil
Hello everyone, this is probably going to be the last picture I draw for the year to be honest with you. What better way to celebrate it with some of my favorite art pieces I've done? As well as putting Thomza as the main focus point of the drawing. If you don't know who he is, you can check that out here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/54894980/
I was honestly thinking of titling this of the "Indestructible Warrior", or "The God with no Divinity", but I feel like... None of those really fit the tone or theme of Thomza Materia. The main aspect of him I always find is that he is inevitably one of the most heroic characters in a setting filled with extremely terrible and terrifying people. That his will never breaks, and he tries to find the good in everyone and would prefer to solve everything thrown at him without resorting to violence. Although, even he knows this isn't entirely feasible sometimes, and canonically, yes, Thomza is one of the most powerful characters in the setting. Although he absolutely loathes fighting and will constantly pull his punches in hopes to take anyone or anything down non-lethally. The important thing to note is that he has more of an impact on *other* people's lives instead of his own. Even now I feel like words hardly even bring him the justice he deserves. Thomza himself has inspired many of my friends and even well, myself, despite him being an entirely fictional character that I've created. It's no secret that my art is meant to simply compliment my writing and world-building skills. So, if a picture is worth a thousand words, then I suppose this collage of the art I've done this year, with Thomza taking the foreground, looking wistful at his sword and being horrified of what he's capable of, but understanding his responsibilities as a hero isn't enough? Then I don't know what is
Also, with this being the final art piece for the year, I want to thank all of you as well in this endeavor. I try my best to read every comment I can, and even respond to those said comments as well. I appreciate everything from the support of Skin to Scales, Hyembs the Dragon and whatever silly piece of fanart I've come up with this year. It's been a really rough ride for me honestly, and I thank all of those who allowed me to keep going and pushing forward. I hope next year I get to continue to work on my setting and continue to show all of you what I'm capable of. I also feel like I really... Improved a lot this year, let it through experimentation or different poses, or even pushing my writing limits even further.
I know I say it a lot, but I do thank you for reading. You are all truly wonderful, until next year everyone.
Disclaimer and Copyright: These characters involved, and the artwork belongs to me, TwistedHensley. The Skin to Scales Universe also belongs to me there, TwistedHensley... You get the drill. I want to point out that this is an Epic Dark Fantasy setting with a lot of mythological and religious tones and that there is no real-life connection to any of these events, religions, characters and it is fully, grounded, in fantasy. There is no copyright infringement also intended to other forms of media as Skin to Scales is meant to be its own thing and something I've been working on for a very long time. This is the same setting where faith is a massive part of the magic system, and it is usually meant to have a very bright and colorful art style to help balance the tone.
