ive been meaning to draw another character thats part of their dynamic (its like...almost a throuple) but im having trouble deciding a species lmao :0 hopefully ill draw her soon

I do want to ask if you've played/experienced much of the furry noir game selection that's out there, though! Chicken Police, Inspector Waffles, Nine Noir Lives, Backbone/Tails, Brok the InvestiGator, uhh... Maybe even more than those! Blacksad but the game I tried was trash. There's the anthology Inhuman Acts, really good. Indigo Rain was a fun novella.
(I am a fan of the sub-genre I guess? XD)

I actually have read the comic of blacksad and own the first copy, it’s right up my alley especially in terms of art style so im surprised thé game doesn’t hold up!! RIP lol

No disparagement but uggggh I could never fancy the blacksad style. It's so... rugged. X.x hahaha
So the nice thing about all of those games is that they are very lightweight. Visual novel games. You should DEFINITELY play Chicken Police, and an honorable mention to Backbone (recently renamed Tails Noir I think). Brok is a good detective game too but it's not really much of a noir.
I think the reason furry noir is such a common thing is it lets certain dark themes get played with without the awkward racial tones that come with humans.

Ooh yeah. That’s interesting you say that because Blacksad has some really intense commentary on like racial tensions in the 40s-50s and they don’t seem to sugarcoat it much :0 maybe it’s an outlier lol also that’s totally fair!! It’s not for everyone, and I know furry media has a huge range of styles so to each their own! (It’s so funny bc that style is like top of my list. Kinda like beastars too but that’s a bit too anime LMAO)

Liking those atypical styles is cool. :D I tend to agree but something with Blacksad didn't mix with me. But yeah! That's what I mean about the racism though. Turn them into humans and it starts getting a bit more iffy. So the furry shell helps detach it a little which helps broach topics that are a bit darker.
