I think while I was doing this doodle, I was trying to figure out ways to draw within the reference layer without the color surpassing/exceeding the limits of the lines in Clip Studio Paint. It would have worked fine otherwise, had it not been for the fact that I have a bad habit of focusing on the sketches more which makes reference layer painting a bit more of a pain with the appropriate settings.
Well, an artist finds their own method how to approach these kinds of dilemmas.
