The Girl with the Gift of Song
yeah yeah human, oh well =P
I've been listening to music from the LUNAR games and just had to do up a pic of Luna from the first game.
man I haven't drawn her in years. and yes this will be colored too hehe
And if you haven't heard of LUNAR I highly recommend this game series. Though the Sega CD originals may be hard to find now. both LUNAR and LUNAR 2 were remade for PS1 as well as the first LUNAR getting remade again for psp.
classic games, easily one of my all time favorite series, and I'm going to say it, it's even better than Final Fantasy 7 *gasps!*

The game came out for PC and Sega Mega Drive CD in japan then it was released here on sega CD in its original form with Ashley Angel as the voice of alex and a good portion of the crew from Working Designs who was responsible for the translation of the game for American audience. The game then was fixed up a bit and the sound enhanced for the sega saturn but the game never came to America due to the sega saturn doing very poorly for sales and was inevitably killed off. Years later Working Designs got the go ahead for a complete remake of Lunar for the Playstation and even managed to nab the rights for Lunar 2 which original was a Japan only title. It should be noted *big game nut here so bear with me* That lunar had other remakes that never made it to America as Working Designs could not aquire the rights to release them for the content of the game were not wholly in part with the original lunar by cannons or side stories labled Walking School Walking magic school and a few other odd named entries these games are very hard to find even now but tell a completely different story then the original Lunar while still giving nods in its direction using names like dragon master and Althena a few guest appearance characters also showed up as well. The playstation 1 version is highly sought after and features redone redrawn animated scenes that were made exclusively for the playstation remake.
The story was also tinkered around with and even more story was added along with a few more enemies that didn't make the cut in the sega CD version but were included in the sega saturn japan version. The playstation version was given a big overhaul in terms of graphics and the battle system was made to be more involving allowing more actions to be taken.
DS version was a completely new story but ultimate the weakest version
The advanced edition was also a flop and failed to garner sucess of the original lunar games.
The PSP version title silve star harmony is a complete overhaul once again with better sprites that move smoothly and a back story harkening to the original happenings of Dragon Master Dyne the Godess Althena and the one time friend turned badguy Ghalleon. Everything even the music was written in the original lyrics *the ones done by Working Designs was NOT the original lyrics* but the game still has the original animation from the playstation 1 version of the game and the same music is still intact but the spell casting is a sight to behold and the character sprites are more detailed and larger then both the saga CD and playstation versions.

wow there was actually a few things I didn't know about Lunar XD I didn't know it came out on pc in japan. It would be nice though if the other Lunar games that weren't released in the us did get released. I do remember reading that Lunar 2 was japan only, though still glad we got it too =P
While Lunar Dragon Song was the weakest version. It's not that bad though, I'm almost done with the game, I just don't like how every step you take you loose life >.< and yeah the gba version was meh.
and I liked the added story elements to the psp version. and the spells are awesome hehe, I need to finish Harmony. And I really hope Lunar 2 gets a psp remake as well
