Happy New Year, everyone! Please join Viola in ringing in 2024 with a cheer, and may it be a good one for all of us.
I had suggested to Hoot that Viola be having a "eureka!" moment with her expression in this portrait, and I think that has come through extremely well in the final piece. But it happened to be completed so close to the new year, I thought perhaps this moment of joyous science could also serve as a bit of midnight celebration. Whether in the laboratory or the lounge, Viola is excited this evening!
