In case you can't guess this is an April fools pic.
So let's go over these "rules".
1: Some people it seems have a dependence on tablets, and when theirs break they seem to be incapable of doing ANY art. Whereas you can always find paper and pencils for a cheap price, and a scanner for that matter.
2: No comment really, too many people dis MS-Paint.
3: Well some people seem to...
4: Now THIS bothers me. Why is it that a "great" background is needed for porn? Isn't the focus on the character(s)? So why do you need a great background like a forest with animals and such?
5a-d: Yeah, it seems when "great" artists on FA draw anything hyper it is as a joke. Like they are looking down on the people that like hyper art, as though it is funny that we like something like that...
6: Dragons. It seems all the popular artists have a lot of dragons. So then I ask this, why are scalies and furries devided?
7: Yeah, no comment.

I actually find the hyper-realistic shading boring and un-sexy- not to mention that a lot of the "best" artists here actually have terrible senses of composition and posing (anatomy, shading, and coloring are not the only things to art), and the majority of them have next to no imagination when it comes to species or character personality. So many of the people who net hundreds of dollars on commissions just seem to have no dynamism or actual creativity to their work....
Artists who aren't realistic or "too good" are more interesting to me because there is something unique t their work, something that is bigger than life. Dynamism is a huge part of this- some of the most detailed and realistic art I've ever seen wound up being creepy because of it- it was like looking at a paralyzed person or a taxidermied animal.

The only person I've heard actually feels this way--from multiple sources, including (alleged) "close friends"--is Doug Winger. He draws macro/hyper/herm stuff because he thinks it's funny that others (like myself) get off on it. Win-win, I say--he gets his lulz, and I get my pr0nz (and still feel no shame about it).

Haha, well, I wouldn't want to not have my tablet, either! It would be like hacking off the other limb! The smartest thing to do as an artist is to keep the most tools available that you can. Heck, I use soap markers (like the kind they use to put the price on a used car's window) and draw on my shower wall with 'em!
