Ever since someone twisted around the fluff to have the WH Fantasy world be a lost colony in WH40k, Ipso-facto, Yes Virginia, there is Skaven claws scratching around WH40k somewhere... ;P I strongly doubt the Chaos powers can keep them confined to 1 planet, or even want that to be so.

I hope the dripping sarcasm is apparent here. Honestly I kinda like the idea myself; you know for a fact Skaven would fucking THRIVE in 40k. But would we need a faction that can swarm like Bugs and shoot like Tau? That's scary mechanics wise but the core idea is fun to me.

Fuck not this again. NOCTURNAL WARRIORS OF HRUD, BABYYYYYY. Check the old art from 3rd edition, and the old rules for poisons in early editions of 40k that mentioned Skaven as well as other odd species.

And if you really want to go deep diving, pretty sure there are hints and various easter eggs in some 40K games and novels, like Skaven symbols being in Darktide. It may not be 100% canon, but its also leaving the door open, and reason enough for people to not be total spoil-sports like this.

Funny thing is there technically were Skaven in 40k back in the Rogue Trader days. They just were mentioned and never got rules or minis before they were dropped along with the Space Slann.

Anyone who says Skaven don't exist in 40k have never heard of the Hrud. They're not quite the same thing but they're very similar.

Also, with all the leftovers from Big E's genetic research I wouldn't be surprised if there are some actual Skaven in the basement of the Imperial palace.
