Things I Learned Playing Titan Quest
Would this look good on me?
...if you're playing a more fragile class, and your warrior friend gets distracted, it's never a good idea to run into the next room on your own.
Just wait, really.

It's right in the title :P Titan Quest. Fun little diablo style RPG. I have a habit of picking mage or archer type characters, fragile up close. I also play with an easily distracted and somewhat slow-paced warrior friend, so I've gotten into trouble more than once running ahead when I shouldn't be. x3
Haha sorry i really don't read titles most the time XD
titan quest sounds fun :o ima have to look it up. I play WoW myself and i happen to run ahead of the group all the time, but since i play a hunter and mage class i usually handle it on my own or i use my abilities to lose aggro on the monsters/mobs

HAHAHA !! this is hilarious :D I LOVE IT :D
And that's the funny thing with items. Even if you don't need them it's better to keep them for the looks than to sell them :D
I nearly always play mages in RPGs, so at low leves id really does look like that... but later it's like the mage paints the dungeon walls with blood, before the fighters even spot the danger :)
*foot steps*
Fighter: hey! what was that ?
*large explosion*
Mage: I don't know, but judging from the blood color it was an orc.
Fighter: Could you at least look first before you obliterate ?
Mage: He startled me!

fond of his big sharp stick... hmmm... is that a metaphor ? :P
Yeah just like me... when I try warrior classes I usually do something strange, which doesn't fit the game mechanics. Like single-wield warrior with no armor... Or even fists and no armor :D Usually it's a pain to play, but somehow fun :)
Looking for a new RPG... would you recommend Titan Quest ?? :)

Hrm, depends on what you like. If you're into the hack 'n slash, loot gathering types like Diablo, you'll enjoy it. Infact it's more or less a diablo clone. What I like most about it though is it's class system- early on you get to pick a class, and then a few levels later you actually get to pick a second, and you can combine them and find interesing ways of putting classes together and making a unique, strong character. So you could have a warrior with lightning magic, or a mage with bows, whatever you want really.
However if you're not fond of diablo style games you won't like it, as it's essentially just diablo all over again x3

I remember once, I was playing TitanQuest, going through the first act on the second difficulty...
...so I was standing there at Crete, messing around with things in my inventory, and then-
OHSHIT GIANT AUTOMATON IT'S TALOS
and he stepped on me and i died c:

Hah, yeah. That's one thing I love about my main character, pet based build. If I'm going through my invintory and something wanders too close, my three wolves/nightmare/nymph tear it to shreads almost instantly. I've more than once found myself going through items in the middle of a crowd, just because it was convenient to do it then and the pets had everything under control x3
Seriously... WoW lessons, first and most important.
"If yer tank (warrior/dk/paladin) isn't ready... don't pull things." Nothing worse than when some over zealous hunter pulls some extra 15 mobs and a Boss and yer expected to keep everyone's attention. Never mind the 15 you've already got.

Yuhp yuhp :P. If you ever get to playing WoW (was fun for a while, I stopped playing due to the utter lack of 'new game play experience/mechanics') You'll see people ABSOLUTELY lose it on people for what yer warrior friend there is doing :P "DON'T LOOT UNTIL AFTER COMBAT". Harder to do when the stuff just falls to the ground, but, still...
I'd almost say if you ever want a third pick up I'd be more than happy to join ya. I'm really big on playing games with other people, it's one of the things that keeps me playing things like Black Ops and kept me playing WoW for like 6 years. I've got a legit copy and everything, so... Ya, if ya want a pick up -^^-.
Hrm, not sure it'd really work to add a third person the way we play, the pacing is rediculous and my friend tends not to welcome random outsiders very well xD However I am toying with the idea of seeing if I can round up a couple of random FA members who seem cool and have the game and maybe setting up a thing where we all play together for a few hours once a week or some such... just an idea as of now though. :P
I'd be down for that -^^- I haven't played it ALL the way through yet... I think my last 'bout took me somewhere near like... the 8 or 9th town you trapes through... or... I've consistantly made it just past the cyclops because I keep going back to him trying to farm some gear out of him. Anyways, aside, if ya get that going lemme know and I'll quite happily jump on for a session -^^- always down for gaming, always down for gaming with new peoples too -^^-
Hah, I've got one character who's beaten the entire game and expansion on legendary xD I've been playing way too much lately... but it's fun, so meh!
I'll think about it pretty seriously. Might be a bit of an organizational nightmare, but if I can get it together easily enough with a few people I trust won't be dicks, it could be a lot of fun to play with a decent sized group.

I won't be a dick -^^- I'm just happy to play through games with people and quite ready and willingly pass up loot and stuff just for the sake of the social aspect of games like that. But I can totally feel ya on people who make things complicated, and logistically... Probably no worse than trying to organize 40 players who know what they're doing to pull the 40 man old world WoW raids back in the day :P
Although, is the game now setup through steam servers? Like, if I plug in my store bought copy information as registration for Steam I'd be able to access the steam servers?

I'm not sure if it matters what copy of the game you have anyway, since servers are locally hosted. Though I don't know much about that stuff, so I might be completely lying to you, I suspect that as long as you've got the same version of the game you should be able to join any server made.
Reminds me of a song I loved hearing on a podcast I occassion... Never Split the Party.
Don't You Know? You never split the party.
Clerics in the back to keep those fighters hale and hearty.
The wizard in the middle, where he can shed some light.
And you never let that damn thief out of sight...

well in the hardest nevel of the game wolfs get a little weak. and its utterly useless against the telkine and speciallt agaisnt the titan XD
i remember playing summoner, nature fire i think, full of wolf, dryad and molten golen. and even with a strong heal, WACK all dead in a second. X)
i hate that titan ><
even as hunt-def you dont resist long. then again, i never made my warden to stand lot of dammage. its axed on massive percing dammage. i had a 25k legit dammage with all power active. could kill the hardest last boss within a minute... but i better not get hit o.o
so yeah, looking for people to play with? ^^

Only true on the first difficulty. They get massive health and strength boosts per difficulty, so I had very little trouble wiping out the telkine, titan or even hades in the expansion. They really rip shit up quite nicely in the later difficulties, especially when you've got lots of buffs and debuffs and pet gear to back them up :P I've done quite a few runs on legendary typhon with not too much trouble.
And I may be, I'm thinking of seeing if I can set up a little group from FA to play together, but we'll see. It's only a thought. x3

Heh, indeed. The first difficulty is a massive pain- in fact, it might be worth it to re-spec into a non pet dependant fighting type near the end so you can take out the bosses on your own. But by epic, I was quite able to take out all the bosses with just my pets and buffs/debuffs, and by legendary they could survive way more easily than I could. xD
And will do!
And will do!
Yeah, good luck with that. I find that bookshelves are much less likely to get distracted by instant messages.
"Rocks and walls do not betray me the way that you do, Doug! If you were up there stopping those arrows with your vital organs like you're supposed to, I wouldn't need to be such a coward!"
Not that this comes up often...

The moment I was referring to happened on our first trip through on Epic or Legendary, in Egypt, in a giant cave where the skeletal chimera resides.
Was NOT expecting that giant beast to come stomping down the hallway after my roommate's character, :D
Luckily, I was the tank, so I managed to get its attention long enough for us to fight it.

My first builds were pet based. That guy is a total pushover with pets. xD Me and a friend actually ran dual pet builds recently for the fun of it (six wolves running around = awesome) and we downed him in about 30 seconds without even losing a wolf. Rediculous. :P
