As a teetotaler with anxiety living in a drinking-based city with few quiet social spaces, libraries are a godsend. So it pains me to see them go through so much grief these past few years, with budget cuts, riots over banned books, threats over f***ing storytimes and now hackings. To whoever recently destroyed the Toronto Public Library database, I wish you a Very Merry Burning In Hell.

Context For Panel #5: Some years ago at a Hackney branch, I heard a very audible woman scream at the security guard using 'Friendly' instead of the other F-word (kid was with her). I don't think the guard had done anything, but libraries really shouldn't have to have them. At least tell patrons to shush rather than just harass the homeless.
