This is my take on the elements featured in The Legend Of Spyro!
Aether is it's own thing, but it's considered all-encompassing, since Purple dragons are the only ones who can wield it.
The Cardinal Elements: Fire, Ice, Earth, Electricity, Water. As of Spyro's time, Water is an almost extinct element.
Minor Elements: Toxin (Poison/Venom), Shadow, Wind.
Minor Element (born of Corruption): Fear.
Their placements show what cardinal ones they draw from. Their is now dark aether, as any element can be corrupted and it depends on the individual who is corrupted - it's not the element itself.
Fury is a special move for ANY element. Not an element itself. What's shown in DOTD is just Aether.
Of course there are probably other elements not pictured here.
