This upbringing has molded her into a stoic, business-first kind of woman, filled with distrust and discontent for just about everyone around her...
Or at least, that's how she appears in public, and how she assumed herself to be. A late-night "altercation" with an intruder into her large home led to her being tied up and...having her body explored, so to speak, and this encounter awakened another, darker side of Astarte she never thought she'd have: she loves being helpless, having control taken away from her, physically and mentally. It felt relieving, and it felt good.
So by day, she handles the day-to-day business of running her part of the kingdom, but by night she finds herself experimenting with this other side of her - exploring the adult nightlife, testing self-bondage, or just fantasizing about a thief coming in and leaving her tied to her bed. All in good fun, of course :3
