Now that Heesh'Nha discovered she can use Sissaal as a basis for communication with the prisonor she tries to explain what she is doing here in the lost city while also trying to get information about the prisoner themselves, though while it was faster than learnign an entirely new langauge it was not as easy as it might be as she found some words were different in their meaning or pronunciation. Meanwhile the being had been observing her quietly between questions with a curious expression on it's face, or at least as far as one could tell with serpent and lizard folk who'se faces tended to not show expressions well. Then it seemed to notice Heesh'Nha's rings, which she never stopped wearing since her accidental exile, and were a sign of her royal position in serpent folk culture.
The being pointed at her rings then raised it's own hand with it's back towards Heesh'Nha, then pointed at it's own rings with it's other hand. "Ssshow!" was all it said with a touch of excitement in it's voice. Puzzled she showed her rings to the being, now noticing it too wore rings in similar fasion of two rings and a thumb ring, although it's rings were a bit more fancy with two small pieces of the dark crystals set in each. Both of them stood there in silent shock at this strange coincidence but it was the being who broke the silence first lowerign it's head slightly and lifting it's left hand, angled down slightly with the fingers curled inward. A gesture that Heesh'Nha immediately recognised as the formal greeting between leaders of the serpent tribes. Normally she would supposed to be to introduce herself as the guest first before the other leader with introduce themselves in the same way to indicate they accepted her as a guest, the inward claws and lowered head being a sign of peace like saying "I keep my fangs and claws to myself" Though before she could respond properly the beign spoke it's introduction first.
"Aakaama Ssskan Nagasssa, Ksssuul Nagadrasssiil" Aakaama then stared at her awaiting her response while she regained her composure, her hand still trembling lightly ass he touched knuckles with Aakaama and repeated the ceremonial gestures "Heesh'Nha Xan Ssathriss, Xul Ssithrak" Stating her name, tribe and city in return the greeting was formally over and they were supposed to break contact but both had the same surreal feeling in this moment as two beings so different yet the same in some way. Could Heesh'Nha have discovered an ancient ancestor here? A missing link between serpents and dragons which all serpents believed thet descended from?

Well originally these were all side stories for an RPG video game idea I was working on of characters the main characters would either meet or visit the locations of.
This city that Heesh'Nha found would serve as a shelter for humans and other beast folk during a demon invasion the main cast would be dealing with, so I'm just fleshing out these locations and characters with these story bits, the Nagassa and Aakaama didn't even exist in the original idea and Aakaama was only a ghost remaining in this place. I am basically going for a redemption arc for Heesh'Nha with this as I didn't like the original path for her anymore.
As for compiling these in a book, I wouldn't know where to start. I've had so many ideas for this world and many of them are all out of chronological order it would be a job to fix all that and I'm no Tolkien when it comes to writing, though I wish I was so I could write the entire story properly. Then again I doubt there's much of a market for it since humans are a minority in this world elves and dwarves don't exist and the main characters are all anthros. Probably wouldn't sell to the general public.
I did consider making a webcomic of it all once long ago but I'm not much of an artist and neither did I have the time and energy to devote to it, even more so since the story wasn't all there yet and I had little world building done. Heck I haven't even decided on names for some of the main characters to this day so it's all still an unfinished mess being patched together.
Oh well, maybe some day I'll get something finished or published but I'm not getting my hopes up, or maybe when I do have the world building finished I could open it up for use as a D&D esque thing, I've already considered making my version of salamanders an open species one day if they catch on somehow.
anyway, thanks for the compliments.
I am glad at least some people are enjoying these story snippets. =)
