Shadow Pass is the site of an ancient battle. The clan shamans tell children about it to teach them courage. In this place, where a pile of rocks resembles the sleeping dragon, two beasts came together in battle. And the one collecting the fallen warriors souls in darkness to give them immortality, won. Since then, will–o'-the-wisps are burning day and night on the pass. It’s a gift from the Soul Collector. And these lights attract Aspids who are ready to test themselves in a battle with Eternal Flame. This is how the Trial begins, in which the Eternal Flame takes heroes from the past forms. If the Aspid is resistant, the spirits will reward him with Shadows Armor. This skill will make the Aspid’s skin stronger than the strongest armor. The Eternal Flame will submit to him. It is said that in the heat of battle, you can see flames blazing around the Eternal, with outlines similar to dragons. This is how the ancestors come to the Eternal's aid. And ancient writings can suddenly appear on the body of Aspid – this is a message from one of the ancestors – warning or bringing hope. Something like a motto. Only shamans can unravel the old inscription during meditation.
