Jamie: Feral Red Fox
Place of Birth: England/Lower Scotland(More likely?) (Circa. 1880s)
Jamie, is undoubtedly one of the more interesting cases of the pack, and her origins remain shrouded in mystery. Either by case of hazy memory or personal secrets, the most one can gather out of Jamie is that she knows she was born around the same time as Milo, if not a bit later. However, this knowledge is partially contradicted in her early memories of living around the border with Scotland, far from the pack's territory. She can recall the mountains, the weather and streams, but no foxes have ever been recorded as traveling so far north.
As for her lifestyle, Jamie is unique in two factors; The first being her voluntary exile, or rather distancing from the pack. The second being her vast knowledge of healing herbs, ointments and fungus secretions. Jamie has taken herself up as something of a woodland doctor for the foxes who bother to seek her out, should an aliment be so severe.
As typical for the pack's bullying behavior, Jamie's bizarre interests and pacifistic nature made her an easy target, and over time she found herself living alone, further out west. Having had time to test her knowledge of herbal medicine, and occasional encounters with former packmates who begrudgingly allowed her to test her theories when they were injured, her remedies were proven successful. The pack kept note of this and used her services sparingly, only visiting upon an insufferable nagging pain or itch. Jamie was aware of how disliked she was, but never refused to help the only family she had, and always made a point to mention how she had missed them. As one-sided as this would seem, the abuse was only ever just words, and in private some of the foxes would remark of her talented and kindhearted nature, and admitted missing her as well on occasion.
Jamie was given the nickname "The Medicine Fox" by her packmates, and remained a secretive outsider for a little less than a decade before major events came to pass.
Pacifistic by nature and kindhearted, her rare encounters with humans were generally positive; She quietly criticized Milo's upholding of Julie's teachings, and would just as soon help a human traveler as she would her pack. If the person in question is able to listen, Jamie quickly offers advise on how to stay off of the pack's hunting grounds, as well as offer any herbal mixes or medicinal paste if it's required. Her cream coloured fur and soft-spoken nature made her distinctive from the rest of the pack, and her actions were the quiet murmurings of taverns and inns, even a few papers tried to spread word of a friendly fox after a chance encounter between her and a young woman.
Like some others, Jamie's upbringing was around the time of Julie's disappearance, her teachings and how readily others upheld them terrified her even as a kit. She wasn't alone in the the belief that Julie's presence, even in presumed death, plagued the surrounding forest in a dark aura or curse, being known by same as "The Ravening". Thoughts of murder, selfish acts, abuse and even insatiable cannibalism prodded through through the minds of some foxes who were otherwise averse to Julie's teachings. A large part of her docile nature and self-exile were due to troubled dreams and dark fantasies creeping into her dreams; Haunting thoughts of fighting amongst themselves, ravaging human towns and even an attempt to wholly swallow another fox that had her fancy made her writhe in her sleep, and reaffirm to herself the kind person she knew herself to be. Aware she wasn't the only one, Jamie left the pack to be rid of the ridicule of others, as well as to test her theory that the forest had truly been tainted by Julie.
Jamie could now be found in the west, occasionally visiting towns in Wales to offer her assistance where needed. She had taken a particular interest in the shorelines, since accidentally discovering a buried Viking Longship, and has since been deeply invested in listening to stories of Norse Magic and Witches.
Well, that's Jamie's initial profile done, and she's a very special case. Jamie is a character given to my friend by another friend during a roleplay they had done, we'll call him Zeph. Zeph created Jamie out of thin air, and she was only used for one or two initial roleplays, her nature and role as "Medicine Fox' was created entirely by him. She traveled with a brown mouse with dark stripes going down his back, named ZigZag, who unfortunately may not be featured entirely in this rendition, though a human character is likely going to be based on his role. Her internal struggles and issues resisting instinctive desires was also a trope for drama Zeph was famous for, according to my friend.
Anyways, I hope you all enjoy her as a concept, I do hope to do a short story with her soon-ish.
Zeph, that's not your name but you know who you are, if you see this, you're a bastard lol
