Quick note on dialogue-- how people speak in the city is dependent on social class rather than species. So the lower-class humans and nonhuman's speech is barely understandable, whereas the upper-class speak much closer to the standard English Jet and Reezon are used to. (although with an accent more British than American.) To use a modern example, think of it like the difference between how a professor or politician speaks compared to how someone raised in the ghetto or barrio speaks.
