I think I was heavily influenced by V. I. Warshawski, a fictional female private investigator based in Chicago, hence Marcer's unique way of 'conversating'. The BBC adapted two of her cases as radio dramas I'm a big fan of.
And that's it I guess; I was annoyed by a lot of anime guff at the time like Rewriting the Grimoire from Point Zero (I think that's what it's called? It's the one with the tiger mercenary in it), Himouto! Umaru-chan, and that one anime I can't remember the title of, but there's an orange haired girl in it who does the yelling violent tsundere thing and beats up the boy (it's not Toradora). Oh well. 🤷🏾♂️ Each to their own.
