Art depicting Gideon and Garrett, originally meant as an antagonistic force to the Kindred, i've become sentimental towards them. So i will not elaborate if they are canonically dead or not.

Gideon (left) is an old school noble, scheming to obtain his decadent family's wealth. Garrett (right) is the owner of Garrett Industries, the major manufacturing company within The Blade.
